US fees. The 30¢ authorization fee is charged when a transaction is processed or when an uncaptured authorization closes or expires. On Shopify, Amazon Pay transactions are billed at the store's Shopify Payments rates instead.
Amazon Pay's Acceptable Use Policy prohibits CBD, non-prescription drugs not approved by the FDA for over-the-counter sale, miracle cure products and health or nutritional products offering guaranteed results, and products identified by government agencies as likely to be fraudulent. Amazon Pay says specific merchants may operate in some listed categories (other than illegal ones) after receiving its direct prior permission. The policy does not mention dropshipping or negative option billing.
Requires a valid US checking account for US merchants. Changing bank details triggers a one-time 3-day hold on disbursements.
The Amazon Pay third-party integration stopped being supported on Shopify on January 6, 2025. US Shopify stores can now offer Amazon Pay only as a wallet inside Shopify Payments, at Shopify Payments rates. Amazon Pay lists WooCommerce as an integration partner.
